at the start of
海角7号， when the soft melodious background music started to play and the big ship started to move further and further away with the beautiful sunset as the background, i felt like crying.
i knew from the start that it was going to be a great movie.
it was
魏德圣's first movie. and i think it is easy for the audience to see that too. some rough handling of shooting techs here and there, a bit unclear about what he really want to express ( though movie-goers will still be able to get it themselves in the end).
putting the little errors aside, this is the first movie that made me want to cry from the beginning till the end! and cry and laugh ( esp when
茂伯appears! he's truly the
国宝！)
and the concert by the beach! i found myself rocking and singing and tearing along to
无乐不做and
国境之南.
van was and still is a good singer. i prefer his rocky hairstyle now. mom says he sings better than
周董. well i've to agree but
周董still has better talents:)

海角7号can climb up from no.7 in the box office.
i had a whopping time at changi airport with my cousins! actually it should be "cousin" as there were only me, my bro and jiaqian.
apologies if the random photos below doesnt tell you much about the airport. you wont believe we walked three terminals by looking at these:)

i cant believe we could have a long( and more serious, heartfelt) talk with our 6-7 age-gap-difference cousin. all along we get along fine and have fun with each other but we've never really talked. i think it's another shuping thing--where age doesnt make a difference.
i really do hope that she can stay with us if she studies in nchs next year. besides the fun part, i'll make sure she doesnt eat her meals for TWO HOURS!! and let her play psp, of course:)
and the outing was THE DAY WHEN I DID THE MOST IDIOTIC THING IN MY LIFE THIS YEAR
1. mistook a girl for jiaqian as the girl's voice was so much like hers.
2. grabbed the wilber pan cd from the unknown stranger and exclaimed "hahh, why you like him?"
3. took me few secs after the stranger turned her head to realise that i got the wrong person.
4. shocked. walked off, jaw dropped forming this BIG 'O' and forgetting to apologise.
well. at least it made a stranger laugh.
