went to watch 徐克's 女人不坏 with brother yesterday. was qute excited as both zhou xun and kwai lun-mei are in it.

but guess what the st movie critics rated for the movie? 0.5 star. not even 1! and guess again how many people were seated in the cinema with us during the first screening day--not more than 15! and it doesnt help that a guy who was supposedly a gay screeched at the start of the movie. yes, i mean screeched. i have nothing against them( unless they harrass people with the same gender) but he could have sound lots more nicely female-like.

but i'm glad i stayed on. the film was great, lame but hilarious. and meaningful. and the organisation of the plot was neat, how 3 women became linked to each other when they were complete strangers in the first place. by pheromones (费洛蒙).

zhou xun switched from acting as ancient beauty in many drama serials to this doctor who wears a mushroom hairstyle, nerd glasses and cant find a man to love her. and kwai lun-mei, from the sickly girl in secret to boyish rocker cum boxer.

and during the outing, i managed to get one important thing done for the hols: visit moey. 3.5 years since we last saw each other. i was half-expecting to see this white-haired wavering old lady walking out to meet us but boy, was i relieved to see her look as young( for her age) and as prim, proper and ladylike as i can remember her to be.

i'm glad some things don't change:) i had this overwhelming feeling as i walked past the security entrance to the apartment where she stays, remembering the days when me and my bro walk down the same path under the hot sat sun to learn piano from her.

it wasnt easy to do the same thing for 9 years:)
